Per il mio bene by Mimmo Verdesca tells the story of the inner journey of Giovanna (Barbora Bobulova) as she searches for her origins. A journey which will require her to manage shocking revelations, painful acceptance and the ability to forgive. The discovery of a serious illness puts her in the position of having to deal with her past and search for the truth.
Giovanna is a strong, independent woman. She proudly runs the family business while raising a teenage daughter alone. Her life flows solidly until she discovers that she is ill, but while searching the family for a compatible donor, she discovers that she was adopted. Giovanna wants to trace her origins but comes up against a complicated law. When the court informs her that her biological mother refuses to help her, she decides to circumvent the rules and tracks down the woman.
