Shot mostly in Rome, the film’s locations include the Trevi fountain, for a re-enactment of the legendary scene from the Dolce Vita; squares and streets around Termini station; the monumental Verano cemetery; a television studio built in DEAR studios, Filacciano, Formia (including Hotel Il Faggiano), Gaeta and Fondi, which provided the film’s final set.
Outside of Italy, the film was shot in Paris.
